The following information needs immediate attention from all
parents---homeschooling and non-homeschooling. Focus on the Family has aired
a program about a court ruling in California that makes homeschooling
illegal for virtually all parents in California. This could have big
implications for California parents and parents across the country.
California is the most populous state in the nation.  California has over
fifty percent more people than the second most populated state (viz., Texas)
and has more than twice as many people as Florida.
What happens in California often leads to policy changes in the rest of
the country. Please listen to Dr. James Dobson and Focus on the Family
(dated 3/7/2008). Lack time? Read a review at CitizenLink.com by Focus on
the Family, which includes a link to a petition that all parents in America
should sign.
Check the HSLDA's review and sign the petition. http://www.hslda.org/
The core elements of this controversy reduce down to one fundamental
question.  Were the rights and responsibilities to care for the education of
children entrusted by God to parents or to the civil government?
