YEARBOOK:
We have five families that
have submitted photographs for our yearbook. That will make a very small
yearbook!!
The following is a memo from the Yearbook Staff:
Make sure
you have checked the PCS website for yearbook information and
deadlines. The
deadline for family pictures to be turned in is February
7th.
Please:
Submit pictures through email, if possible.
Read the website information carefully.
Do not wait until the last
minute.
This is a huge project, and the yearbook staff would like everyone
to be included, but deadlines have to be met so we can have the yearbook signing
party May 1st.

Debbie, and maybe Phil, will be coming from
New Orleans to present to our school, but this is not a closed meeting. Please
invite your friends; they will benefit richly from this workshop. The WCK
mission is to provide families with valuable insight and materials "for raising
godly leaders of tomorrow" (PCS motto). Please check out the WCK website http://www.weecanknow.com/index.html
for WCK background information and valuable home school resources.
In New
Orleans, Debbie teaches a Bible study class for home schooled students. The
Smiths were refugees following Hurricane Katrina and have quite a testimony of
God's goodness to share, but for this meeting the focus will be on Developing a
Biblical Worldview in Children. Some of you might know Phil and Debbie, as they
lived in Mobile for over 10 years and attended Cottage Hill Baptist Church
during that time.

PRAYER REQUESTS: (If you have a
request or praise, please let the school office know.)
Pam Patrick:
health
Tara Mavrakos: health
Echterling Family: mission travel
FROM ASHLEY FLEMING:
Doug Beck, the Director of the International
Ministries Center in Mobile just called asking me to pass along this urgent
prayer need. A dear friend of his serves as an IMB missionary in Afghanistan.
Her name is Sid Mizzell. This morning, Saturday Jan. 26, the Taliban took her
hostage at gunpoint. Doug said that she would willingly give her life for
Christ, but please take time to lift her up in prayer, as well as her family.
Pray that God will give her safety, wisdom, strength, and perseverance. Pray
the God would bring a sense of peace to her family as well. Hostage negotiators
from the International Mission Board are on the scene. Pray they will be
effective in their talks and negotiations with the Taliban leadership.
Additionally, please take time to pass this along to those whom you know are
prayer warriors.
I am grateful for your prayers,
Ric
