Terrific Thursday Update: From Kellie  Please read all information carefully!

Please check the home page of the school website
www.praisechristianschool.com for the updated Terrific Thursday class list. This list has been updated as late as today (Tuesday, January 8th). The copy you received over the holiday is not complete since classes have been recently added. 

If you are working 2-3 hours, you can begin registration at 5pm - 633-3826  - Wednesday night. Others will begin registration Thursday at 10am. Once you email your registration, you will receive a response to let you know it was received. Another email will be sent within a day or two to let you know what classes your child/children got into. This information takes hours to compile, so please be patient.  Remember, it is a first come, first served basis, so it's not always possible for students to get their first choices. Make sure and list second choices for each hour.

If you have missing family file items (HSLDA # or card) or past due amounts on the recent statements sent by Ed, you will not be able to register until those items have been taken care of.  Please make sure this does not happen!  You will lose your place in the registration line up and will hinder your children from getting their first choices.

I will not answer my home phone during registration times - 633-3826... please leave information on the machine.

ACHIEVEMENT TESTS
Praise Christian School requires achievement testing for Grades 3,5,8. We use the IOWA tests at $25.00 per child. This amount is payable prior to the April testing and held at Praise.

However, if you want to test your children on the off years with the SAT's administered through Moffett Road Christian School, the following information would pertain to you:

Homeschool Verification Form:  If you would like to help Peaches with the SAT testing but cannot be a Tester, please let her know.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1)  ORDER YOUR TEST(s).
  Call BJU Press:  1-800-845-5731 ~ They are great help over the phone!
  or, go online to:  www.bjupress.com/services/testing/stanford.html
 
2)  GIVE Peaches' NAME, ADDRESS, AND PHONE NUMBER AS THE COORDINATOR.
   Peaches Fink, 4400 Winding Way, Mobile, AL  36693, 251-661-4034.
 
3)  FAX OR MAIL 'HOMESCHOOL VERIFICATION FORM'  TO BJU.
   Upon ordering your tests,  BJU will immediately email you the form.   Fill it out and mail it back to BJU ASAP.  Without the form, your student will NOT be able to participate in the testing. (per Bob Jones University)
 
4)  TESTING WILL BEGIN ON TIME - ARRIVE EARLY.
 
5)  SEND COPY OF TEST RESULTS TO YOUR SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR.

Adam Messer's health is failing rapidly. He is currently home and is bed ridden and unable to do much on his own, Donna is in need of a few individuals who would be willing to come in the afternoon or evening to help care for Adam. Hospice is coming in the morning but she needs help later in the day with positioning Adam.
