  Attachments are information on the 2008 Young Author's Conference. This is an annual event sponsored by Metro-Mobile Reading Council (Bonita is President) and the West Mobile Regional Library. See attachments for deadlines, event date, author-speaker, etc.

From Peaches Fink of Moffett Road Christian School:
  Mobile District Spelling Bee - January 25th, place and time to be announced,  more details as soon as Peaches sees how many students have signed up to participate in the Mobile District Bee.
  The top three winners in the District Bee will advance to the Homeschool County Bee in Birmingham on February 2nd, at Cathedral of the Cross Church (Centerpoint, AL).
  You must be registered with Scripps (NOTE: PCS is registered as a school) and your student(s) must be in the 4th-8th grade to participate. Begin practicing! Go to www.myspellit.com for a list of words to download and print.

T/T begins on the January 17th, if all teaching slots for the classes are filled....

Sign up for Semester 2 Terrific Thursday classes is 9th (for T/T teachers working 2-3 hrs) and 10th (first hour for those working 1 hr and all others after that). Please refer to our website www.praisechristianschool.com for more information.
 
PLEASE NOTE:
  1. By Monday, January 7th, the homepage of the school website will have updates on 2nd semester classes offered.
  2. Remember to take care of past due amounts or missing family file items ASAP. You will not be able to register January 9th/10th, if items are not cleared. 
  3. Classes will fill up quickly, so don't miss out!

Here are T/T needs at this time:

12:00 1 floater 
      2 PE helpers (2nd - 5th grade)

1:00 OK!

2:00 floater, possibly 2
      1 class for 2nd - 5th grade (There are lots of ideas on PCS Library link or see 4H under T/T link at our website.)
      1 assistant in "Mouth Control" (6th grade up)
      2 helpers in games class (all ages)
