pecans are sold in one pound bags at $9 per pound (or $216 for a case of 24).
The pecan sale is the largest fundraiser for Mobile's Singing Children. If you
would like to learn more about MSC, please go to our website
www.mobilesingingchildren.org.
This year, Kristina (Swearingen) is in the Concert Choir and Chase (Swearingen)

FROM SUSAN LOLLEY and JAN THOMAS
THE LEAVENING AGENCY
828.669.8869
mail@leaveningagency.org
Allow us to introduce an exciting way to bring the performing arts to the
homeschooling community. We've provided this format to homeschoolers in the
southeastern US for the past ten years and we're seeking to expand the program
throughout the US.
We (The Leavening Agency/Kidshine) provide the homeschooling community a simple
way to incorporate the performing arts in their existing curriculum. We bring a
weeklong format to the community, manage and direct all aspects of the program
during the week and direct a final performance on Friday evening for parents and
guests. We bring our staff, all supplies and the equipment to you. Students
choose what they want to do in the performance Friday evening (there are no
auditions) and they participate in every area of the program (playing
instruments, singing, acting, dancing, painting scenery). The best resource for
an overview of our programs is our website (www.leaveningagency.org),
and we do have an information packet available to those who would like to host
our program. Of course we'd be happy to put you in touch with homeschool
organizations and individuals who have firsthand experience with us through the
past ten years.

FROM SUSAN HOFER of MOFFETT ROAD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
Bonita,
If you remember at the CHEF convention in Birmingham in June, we discussed
having a TeenPact representative come to Mobile to speak to our groups. We
(Moffett Road) will be having Don and Deborah Monplaisir from TeenPact
Leadership School at our October 4 meeting. We would like to invite the students
and parents from Praise, .
I hope this does not interfere with your robotics practice, but this was about
the only time we could fit it into our schedule.
The meeting will be held at Moffett Road Assembly of God on Thursday, October 4
at 7:00 p.m. We are also planning on having a group of students meeting
periodically to help each other with their "homework" before attending TeenPact
together in March.
I can be contacted if anyone has any questions at my phone, 639-3160, or my
email, dshofer@netzero.net. Thank you
for helping us get the word out.
