UPDATE 8-30-07
From Jennifer Bemis:
Spelling Bee state-wide competition in January 2008.

Elaine Brown is our new county coordinator for the homeschool spelling bee.
Ann Price, of The Birmingham News asked her to serve in this capacity
because of her family's experience with the Alabama Spelling Bee. Her
daughter is Laura Ann Brown, winner of the Alabama Spelling Bee in 2004 and
2005. Laura Ann represented the state of Alabama in Washington, D.C. at the
National Spelling Bee those two years. They are firm believers in the
spelling bee as a learning tool in many areas.

Jennifer will head this up for Praise and will meet with our students on a
regular basis for practice. We are considering every other Thursday AM after
co-op writing class.

This is a great experience for our students. If you are interested,
please let Jennifer know. jbeemer2@bellsouth.net

From Joy Nyeste:

her ASAP to enroll your child if you are interested. joynye@comcast.net

Remember, PCS can still use the materials, but students won't be able to
compete unless he/she is registered officially with 4-H.
